BRIEF FROM HISTORY
Foundation
The history of Bethel Evangelical Church is traced to the year 1967. It was then that the Late Pastor Gollapalli David Nehemiah was led to BHEL, Hyderabad. His calling was precise, to build an Evangelical Ministry that is based on Biblical Principles both in Teaching and Practice. Pastor Nehemiah’s flock was families living and working in BHEL Township.

About Pastor
Rev Peter F Samuel Gollapalli is the President of Bethel Ministries and Senior Pastor of Bethel Evangelical Church in Hyderabad, India.
Peter Rev Peter F Samuel Gollapalli was called into the ministry after the loss of his beloved dad (the Founder of the Church) on the 28th of April 1994. He heard the Lord speak to his spirit through a daily devotional verse on the day of his dad’s funeral which said “Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people…” Joshua1:2. He hardly understood what the Lord was calling him for at that point in time.
It was indeed a great step of faith and obedience, to lead a mourning congregation. He was once an alcoholic and drug-addict written off by society but God touched him miraculously, called and anointed him. He did not have any formal seminary or biblical training but God touched his tongue and gave him the gift of teaching. He is blessed with a deep insight into Biblical perspectives which makes him a very practical Bible Teacher. His sermons are always simple, straightforward, heart-touching Biblical truths.
His ability to connect to any audience group has made him a regular speaker at various Youth camps, Corporate gatherings, Public meetings & Crusades. Through his ministry at Bethel Evangelical Church, Peter has led and continues to lead the congregation in building spiritual lives that depend solely on God’s Plan and Will. Peter was on a full time job as well until April of 2019 when he resigned as the Site Director for that MNC. He is now a certified John Maxwell team member and a consultant at few companies.

We are a Modern Interdenominational Church. Everyone is welcome at Bethel! It doesnt matter which culture, race, economic background, social class you are from. We believe in living out what we preach and showing the love of Christ to the community around us. Spiritual Growth is a priority at Bethel and we've got that covered no matter what age group you belong to, with various focussed small groups like BeYoung, Sunday School, Women's Fellowship, Men's Fellowship & Young Women's Group
