A person who is a follower of Lord Jesus, needs to be a follower at all times. We are a group of people who believe in this fact. We need to live out Christ’s teachings as much in the workplace as in every area of life. Living a morally, ethically and spiritually distinctive life is essential to bring honour to our Lord Jesus.

We are social beings, not just tools or devices, slaves or machines. We are also spiritual beings who have been saved by our God and Creator called to be virtuous and righteous.

Work, job or vocation is a word we use to start to describe what we do in life, vocation has its root from the Latin verb “to call;” thus, our vocation and job is actually a call, similar to a minister. So we need to understand its role and significance in our life and how we are to be in our vocation as well as what it means in our walk with our Lord. The workplace is where most of one’s waking time is spent during a day , a minimum of 9 hours each day 5 days a week. That is the world where we are called to live out our faith.

The Bible says in Matt 13:38 “ The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom”.

In spite of our varied attitudes, personalities, habits, desires, expectations and experiences we are called to act and react differently. While the break area becomes a gathering place for hearing the latest gossip, a hotbed of conflict and chaos we, as believers in Lord Jesus, choose to be unique. This may not be accepted well by colleagues and peers, who have conflicting ideas. It could result into a struggle with identity, values, attitudes, and feelings, all producing stress and fatigue.

Our mission is to strengthen, encourage, build and equip Christians in their personal walk with the Lord through regular gatherings. Jesus said that we are the salt of the world. Enthion is the catalyst that makes the salt salty without which it becomes ineffective. Similarly Jesus said that we are the light of this world. Enthion is that agent which helps the light in shining out without which it would not benefit anyone.

Every child of God has a role to play in this world with God-given time, spiritual gifts, talents, abilities, personality and experiences towards fulfilling this mission.

You might be the only Christian in your workplace. But you may have been put there by the Lord to be an influence to move people in the right direction. God can do a lot with a little.

From, Ezekiel 22:30 – God is looking for someone among the people who can stand firm like Joseph, Daniel and make a little difference in this corporate world.

End of it all, people should know that we are Christians through our values rather from our social networking profiles.

We will work wherever God has placed us. Our motto is to display these qualities while at work for His Glory.

Arise and let the fire be on.
